Information System Management (INTPTEP236004) is a 3-credit course designed to equip students with the skills to manage information systems that support learning and performance. The curriculum focuses on designing effective, interactive, and inclusive digital learning environments by integrating instructional design principles with technology. Students learn to select appropriate platforms, such as Learning Management Systems, and apply educational research methods to evaluate and improve these environments based on data. Additionally, the course emphasizes professional ethics, security, and privacy within educational technology contexts.

- GeneralWelcome to Information System Management. First of all, take a deep breath. In this course, we will NOT torture ourselves by writing binary code (0101010) or memorizing coding syntax that causes premature baldness. Let’s leave that to the pure Computer Science majors. Our job here is much more “elegant”: we are going to become Information Architects. The core of this course is simple: How to turn your messy pile of assignment files into a sophisticated, polished, and show-off-worthy Website using a CMS (Content Management System). But remember, your biggest enemy in my class is not the workload, but rather: “Lorem Ipsum” text that you forgot to delete during your presentation. Hit-and-run color schemes (Please, I beg you, never use yellow font on a white background—have mercy on my retinas). The classic excuse: “But Sir, it worked on my laptop!” (This is the oldest curse in the history of IT). We will learn how to build a “digital house” from scratch. Starting from the foundation (Server/Hosting), installing the decoration (UI/UX), to filling it with furniture (Multimedia Content). So, get your laptops ready, make sure you have some storage space left (please delete some K-Dramas or games if you have to), and prepare your minds. We are going to transform you from students who only know how to scroll TikTok into creators who can configure a server. Let’s have fun! Make as many mistakes as you want on Localhost before you face the cruelty of the public Internet and the Netizens. Happy learning, and let’s start this structured chaos!2
- 1st meetingWelcome to Meeting 1! (That rare, fleeting moment when your enthusiasm is still at 100% before it inevitably evaporates by mid-semester). Today, we dive into the fundamental philosophy: “Why on earth do we need a CMS?” Think of a CMS (Content Management System) like Instant Noodles. Sure, you could plant your own wheat, grind the flour, and knead the dough from scratch—that’s called Manual Coding. The result might be “authentic,” but you’ll probably starve to death (or die of old age) before the website is actually live. CMS is our ninja way. It is the tool that makes you look like an IT genius without needing to memorize thousands of lines of code that make you go cross-eyed. But listen up. In this class, I will not lecture you until you are drooling on your desks. Today, your discussion partner is not me. It’s AI. Your mission today is simple but hostile: Interrogate the AI. Treat the AI like the prime suspect in a crime. Grill it with critical questions: “Why is a CMS actually important?” “How is this different from hardcore coding?” “Are you sure this thing is secure?” Do not accept generic answers. Argue with it until you truly understand the concept.So, open your laptops, wake up your chatbots, and let’s start this intellectual riot!3
